    @StrikeOnDrifter it? is kinda true…try for yourself…btw from what i know steve vai uses a sustainer…

    @ElvisBluntman777 I hope your not talking about getting good long sustain at bedroom levels because that is impossible without any heavy dist or compressor/sustainer. Thicker string do help you sustain, but the most important part of sustain is your bridge/tremolo. A good bridge should give you more sustain. Adding vibrato to your playing will make notes longer. Also!? adjust the height on your pickups, make sure they arent too close to the strings because the magnet pulls the strings.

    @ElvisBluntman777 One thing you can also do, is place the headstock of your guitar close to the guitar speaker. It will make your guitar resonate more causing longer notes. Steve Vai does ballerina dance? moves in stage but reality is that he find places in the stage where certain notes feedback and sustain better. Finally, clean your guitar and make sure every screw on the guitar is tight. Hope this helps.

    @francisco444 in fact just yesterday i learnt how to do feedback harmonics and yeah the sustain is definitely louder? and better with this technique..its really fucking cool!!

    Ty for this great lessons….I have one problem,maybe not problem:) if you can? see on you tube song for the love of god steve vai you performance with holland orcestra …..he played song and orcestra stop….then just guitar…..then steve doing tapping which sound beatifull.So i ask you can u see that and tell me what he doing?…….ty….and once again ty for lessons…..

    Is that an EJ strat? Sounds good. What are you using for your distorted tone. It really has that shred tone. Is that fretboard? wear at your 20th and 21st frets? Great job bro!
