    @Vehement78 Theory is actually very important when you get really deep into guitar, if you wanna sweep arpeggios and scales all across the neck i suggest you learn at least some theory

    @TellingYouTwice

    You are correct, of course.

    It is technically a G7 add 11 arpeggio, since the 3rd is included.

    Nothing like schoolin’ the teacher. ;)

    Music is a language. It is important to speak it correctly, especially if one is in the teacher role.

    I’m not ragging Dave, I think he’s great. He just needs a proof-reader. ;)

    Peace

    @PurpleBulbous Thanks, just making sure I got it right. I always thought of Sus chords as Chords that pay none to Minor or Major.

    @prsguitars1678

    Was PRS making guitars back in 1678. Hmmmm….maybe the company name was originally Paul Revere Smith.

    This was probably mentioned, but it’s not a 7sus4 chord, it’s a 7add11. “Sus4″ tells you that the 3rd is moved or “suspended” to the the fourth. So, for example, a G7sus4 would contain G, C, D, and F while a G7add11 would contain G, B, D, F, and C.

    Greetings from Poland! I am really thankful for people like you David who share there guitar wisdom, to us, little guitar pawns, who try to compose a few notes together. This “Jeff Beck style arpeggio” lesson is one of my favourite. Your lessons really helped me out with getting the sound by ear, not to mention learning the notes on all the strings. I really hope you keep up the good work with your mates. Can’t wait to “dig in” into more of nextlevelguitar lesson. Thank you very much.
    Matthew
