ST-313 Sweet Child O Mine 1, Guns ‘n’ Roses (Guitar Lesson)

In thisguitar lesson you will learn the classic intro to this fantastic rock tune by Guns ‘n’ Roses. This lesson covers only the intro. The next lessons will cover the chord sequences and some of the solos! Taught by Justin Sandercoe. Full support at the web site where you will find hundreds of lessons on a wide range of subjects, and all the scales and chords that you will ever need! There is a great forum too to get help, no matter what the problem. And it is all totally free, no bull. No sample lessons, no memberships. Just tons of great lessons :) To get help with your lesson look up the number at the start of the video title (like ST-666 or whatever) on the Lesson Index page. www.justinguitar.com ps – sorry I forgot to mention that it is in dropped tuning – tune every string down a semitone.

Justin you are a fucking waste of spunk
You teach people the intro and chords and then you go off and say at the end of the third less…”Hey guys if you can manage the intro and chords you will be able to figure out the solo”
    Are you fucking Retarded??
That was the worst excuse ever just because you can’t play it
And again you are such a waste of spunk

@fenorboi Why dont you take what is offered from the lesson, and keep your immature words to yourself, child. Better yet, dont watch the lessons.

@ventea I’m not a child and I can play this song
I don’t care if you don’t believe me
    I didn’t learn off Justin
I’m just saying he got waay to many views for just teaching the intro and chords

… wow lol honestly this is sort of a rough song to learn … especially if youve only been playing for a week prolly need to lower ur standards a little bit lol if ur into guns and roses id suggest knocking on heavens door as a fairly easy start and also like house of the rising sun is a good beginner song so yeah gl with it heh

instead of E A D G B E (low to high) it is Eflat Aflat Dflat Gflat Bflat Eflat
fret 6th on low E and tune that string until it matches the open A string. now that ur E is dropped 1 semi tone(aka 1/2 step) to Eflat, you can go and match the following strings in the normal way u tune a guitar…tune open A to match 5th fret E…..tune D to match 5th on A, G to match 5th on D, B to match 4th on G, high E to match 5th on B

i tried to play this song but its too hard. i can play it but slowly. And to make it sound well you have to press too much. It hurts a lot. Could someone explain me how to play sweet child o mine quickly and well without my fingers hurting to much? justin sandercoe is playing it and it does not look like it hurts a lot and also does not look like he is pressing to much. If you put it the volume louder it will sound better and you will not have to press so much?

Hey Bud you are a fantastic teacher. I like the way you walk the riff threw , and brake it down.

you gotta build up those callouses. start off slow and gradually turn up the speed. it also helps to practice a alot of songs at the same time. play the most difficult one for 5mins in beginning and 5mins at end of practice session. before you know it, you’ll have it down.

@gonzalo78643 the best way, like 12dolla said, is to spend an hour each day doing exercises to build up callouses and finger strength, and technique
