    why does he start on G when its an a minor pentatonic, or F when its a G minor? it doesnt make any sense… why?

    @guitarnympho5 because its in the fifth position, but your right, the root note is the second note he plays :)

    Because that is how this scale is built. That’s the note before the key note. If you play blues in A, you start from G. Try to play solo listening to “queen of space” (eric clapton). You’ll hear that it sounds nice ;)
