Make sure your trying the tricky things after about 10 mins of playing your hands/fingers need to be nice and warm and stretched.

Your pinky will get stronger :)

Thanks. Very simple concept. I've been using scales for exercise, but this is better because you used all of your fingers. I'll be using this now.

Take your guitar playing to the next level

you'll get the hang of it, it really is a great exercise, despite how boring it is. ive been playing for seven years and i was never taught this exercise to begin with. now i feel that not only is my left hand speed slower than it probably could be (not saying im super slow, just that i could be faster), but my little finger could probably have been more controlled, and stronger because of exercises like this one :)

Put your guitar playing at the next level

If I do the exercise like he is doing it it works just fine.
But I saw a exercise in another video its basically the same but you don't lift your 2,3 and 4th finger wenn going down a string with the first and that never worked out because my 3rd and 4th finger are always touching the string below so you can't get a descent sound out of it.
Should I just do this exercise or what could I do, my 3rd and 4th finger just wont hit the upper strings without touching multiple ones...
Anyone got a hint?
