    rock guitar lessons

GUITAR: Steinberger GL7TA, volume at 70%, treble increased 50%, bass decreased 25%, EMG89 lead pickup on single-coil mode (the side closest to the bridge is ON)… all this creates a bright tone. AMP: MARSHALL MG15DFX amp, the only effect is a long delay setting.

Get rock guitar lessons from a true master!

The guitar I am playing in this video is a Steinberger model GL7TA. It has two EMG89 pickups, original Steinberger bridge with trans-trem feature, active EQ with bass and treble knobs, purchased it way back in 1994… forget the stores name. I am winging the solo to Panama… I used my ear years ago to learn it… Now I just hit the notes fast… different every time I play it. But I hit the main slower notes as you can tell. What slow part? What time does the video say when it starts?

No man, its not easy. They are all looking for big names i guess.
I’m sure your instrumental is good maybe you could find a low budget film that would take it. Work your way up.

Learn to rock with the best

I had guitarists learning Guitars 2006 which inspired me to make Guitars 2007. Then my goal was to have 10 of these rock guitar instrumentals and someday release them all on their own cd with new titles. So far I have 6 of them (Guitars 2006-2011). Most recently created a tv/film instrumental titled FULL OF LIFE. That turned out great… Has real tv\film potential. I have yet to get some of my music licensed for tv/film. This world isn’t very well setup for musicians I tell you.

My goal was to try and write an Eddie Van Halen guitar instrumental similar to his 316. I would play 316 on my guitar… and then try writing off of that. Finally I got the first chord of Guitars 2006… and each day tried adding a little more to it… Probably took 2 weeks to 1 month to write the guitar part… recording it takes about 2-3 days. Finding video footage is hard… I liked the footage I used but it’s so blurry.

    Learn to play rock guitar

I just started holding my pick in my middle finger about 4 years ago I think. Most of my life I held the guitar pick with my thumb and pointer finger. For me, holding the pick with my middle finger makes my playing sound a little more like Eddie Van Halen’s playing… It gets my other fingers out of the way so they don’t lay on the strings and makes it easier to pick faster quick short notes more precisely. It’s hard to explain… but it has it’s benefits as does holding with pointer finger.

This is a cool video to watch how a guitar player puts solo ideas together.
