    No need for it in this style. You will never see SRV using his 4th finger using this pattern. There’s just a different attitude you get by not using this finger.

    You get a different tone with the pinky for sure.

    .011 .50 on bottom GHS Boomers same as slide guitar. They make you work on standard guitar, that’s why it’s actually better to tune down.

    For that video I used a tuner. You can do it by ear though. Just get your first pitch as Eb on the A string 6th fret and tune the low E string to it. Now tune as normal.

    It’ll take your guitar a little time to get used to it, so it may need to be tuned a few times.
